Editing

I’ve been an editor in one capacity or another for nearly twenty years, doing substantive editing, copy editing, and proofreading for a variety of materials, including corporate communications, magazines, journals, and books. My specialties are trade nonfiction, scholarly books and journals, and educational materials, including textbooks and online course content.

I also have experience in documenting and improving workflows, creating and revising house style guides, and creating in-house training materials. I love assisting in the spread of knowledge by helping authors communicate their ideas clearly, and I love helping editorial and production teams work more effectively.

I am extremely well versed in The Chicago Manual of Style and also have experience with APA and MLA styles.
